CrashGard® Sand Barrel System

CrashGard is also designed to accommodate 4" and 6" wide retro-reflective sheeting, meeting all state and federal specifications for retro-reflectivity grades.

Universal Weight Compatibility:

With CrashGard, you only need one sand barrel to meet all weight requirements. It can accommodate weights ranging from 200 to 1,400 lbs (200, 400, 700 or 1,400 lbs.) with the insert and up to 2,100 lbs without the insert. This eliminates the need to stock various sizes of barrels, reducing inventory costs and storage space.

Tamper-Resistant Lid

The lid of the barrel has a tamper-resistant fit that reduces vandalism and water infiltration, as its lip securely snaps into a groove on top of the barrel. The round lids are designed to nest and are available in a black color.

Strategically Shaped Barrel

The CrashGard barrel's square profile incorporates lifting shelves for effortless forklift transportation. Its design also allows for easy application of retro-reflective sheeting and convenient nesting when not in use.

Insert for Weight Changes

The crash cushion's internal lower portion has a built-in ledge that allows for ballast of either 200, 400, 700, or 1,400 lbs of sand, depending on the user's needs. To ensure proper installation, the conical side of the insert should face upwards, as indicated.
