LifeGard II® Traffic Drum

PSS invented the first rubber tire-collar ballasted drum, "LifeGard" in the early 1990's, and it became an American roadway icon. We introduced LifeGard II Drum a few years later. A generation later, LifeGard II Drum with Rubber Tire Collar is still the drum of choice. 

Features and Benefits:

• LifeGard II meets MUTCD and FHWA requirements

• Manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, in safety orange, with UV inhibitors for longer life

• measures 36” high and 18” around

• Intermittent Stacking Rims protect sheeting, prevent drums from locking when stacked for storage or transport

• Anti-Roll Feature, a flat section of the drum, slows rolling if drum is impacted

• Anti-Skid Pad reduces drum spinning in rubber tire collar due to high wind  

• FHWA Acceptance Letter WZ-54
